GREENSBORO — The Rev. Al Sharpton has rescheduled his visit to N.C. A&T to Sept. 29.
Sharpton will lead a get-out-and-vote rally at 10 a.m. at the Stallings Ballroom of the Memorial Student Union. The event is free and open to the public.
He was originally supposed to appear on campus Monday, but he postponed his visit. He gave no reason.
Sharpton, 53, is a Baptist minister and a political and civil rights activist. He was a candidate for the Democratic nomination for U.S. president in 2004. He is currently the president of the National Action Network, a civil rights organization he founded in 1991.
