GREENSBORO - Health officials on Monday announced eight sites that will be used as "Vote & Vax" locations on Election Day.
In addition to the opportunity to cast their ballot, residents can get flu vaccinations given by the Guilford County Department of Health on Nov. 4.
The sites were chosen based on high numbers of residents in each zip code that are 50 or older and availability to medical care in the area.
The locations in Greensboro are:
• Faith Presbyterian Church, 6309 W. Friendly Ave.
• Page High School, 201 Alma Pinnix Drive
• Bluford Elementary School, 1901 Tuscaloosa St.
• Benbow Professional Center, 2021 Martin Luther King Drive
In High Point and Jamestown:
• Williams Memorial CME Church, 3400 Triangle Lake Blvd.
• Christ United Methodist Church, 1300 North College Road
• Fairfield United Methodist Church, 1505 N.C. 62 West
• Ragsdale Community YMCA, 900 Bonner Drive
Health officials have yet to determine a cost for the vaccination but will accept cash, checks and some medical insurance.
No appointment is needed and shots are available to all adult residents, regardless of whether they vote at the precinct. Shots will be available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
