THOMASVILLE — Davidson County deputies have arrested two teens after two break-ins at Ledford Middle School.
The school, at 3954 North N.C. 109, reported last Tuesday that someone came in through a window of a metal classroom building at the rear of the school. Four laptop computers and a digital camera were reported stolen.
As deputies interviewed a suspect, they learned that two people had broken into two school buses parked behind the middle school. Deputies said they recovered two black bags stolen from the buses.
Deputies later arrested Christopher Stewart King, 16, at his home at 147 Cedarbluff Court in Thomasville. King, a student at Ledford High School, has been charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and misdemeanor larceny. He is being held in the Davidson County jail on $50,000 bond.
Deputies also arrested a 15-year-old boy whose name wasn't released because he is a juvenile. The boy was released to the custody of his parents, and the sheriff's office said it plans to file the same charges against the juvenile as they did against King.
