Why Dudley won: The Panthers' defense recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for the go-ahead touchdown with 7:53 remaining, then broke up a pass in the end zone on the game's final play to secure the victory.
Quarterback Ricky Lewis Jr. ran for a pair of 1-yard touchdowns for Dudley, which scored first but trailed 14-7 at the half and 14-13 after three quarters following a blocked extra point by Richmond.
The Panthers improved to 2-0 by knocking off their second straight defending conference champion. They beat Carver 20-13 at home last week and will play at undefeated Grimsley next Friday.
