GREENSBORO — The American Kennel Club Responsible Ownership Day will be Sept. 6 at Lindley Park, adjacent to the Arboretum.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include a free rabies vaccination clinic (until 1 p.m.), basic obedience training, fly ball, a K9 police unit, first aid for dogs and other events.
The Guilford County Department of Public Health also will additional rabies vaccinations on Sept. 6 in Gibsonville. That event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fire Station No. 28 at 6619 N.C. 61 North. The cost is $5, and the shot will protect the dog for a year.
