LEXINGTON - A Winston-Salem woman was arrested Tuesday after allegedly stealing a near $20,000 in jewelry from a patient while working as a home health care nurse.
Pamela Lynne Simms, 36 of 2890 Apt. K Carriage Drive in Winston-Salem is accused of taking $19,285 in jewelry from a home on Ellenton Court in Lexington, according to a Davidson County Sheriff's Office news release.
Deputies say Simms was providing care for someone at the residence at the time of the larceny.
Detectives were able to recover some of the jewelry taken from the residence in conjunction with their investigation.
Simms was charged with one count of felony larceny and placed in the Davidson County jail on a $2,500 bond.
