HIGH POINT — Police have arrested two people in the beating last month of a restaurant employee.
On July 27, Wang Xing, 39, was found in the back of the Golden Dragon restaurant at 274 Eastchester Drive. He had been beaten severely after delivering an order at the Raintree Apartments on nearby Northpoint Avenue.
High Point police said the order came into the restaurant at 10 p.m. July 26. Police were not called to the restaurant until nearly noon the next day.
Late Saturday night, police announced two arrests: Adrian Paul Archer, 18, of 211 W. Hartley Drive, Apt. J, in High Point; and Lionell Jeremy Hightower, 23, of 211 W. Hartley Drive, Apt. K, in High Point.
Both have been charged with attempted first degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to a news release. Both were held in the Guilford County jail in High Point on a $1 million bond.
Police said they do not anticipate other arrests.
