Pizza delivery driver robbed
GREENSBORO — A pizza delivery driver was robbed after someone placed a fake order.
Greensboro police said Robert Barham, 25, a delivery driver for a local Domino's franchise, attempted to deliver an order to 611 High St. at 11:04 p.m. Thursday. The order, however, turned out to be false.
As Barham returned to his vehicle, five men in black clothing approached him. Two of the men were armed with handguns. The suspects took money — police did not say how much — and pizzas and ran away toward Ray Warren Homes. One suspect fired a single shot in the air as they fled.
Police said the men tried to steal Barham's car but failed because none of them could drive a stick shift. Barham was unhurt. Police had incomplete descriptions of the suspects.
Anyone with information about this incident can call Crime Stoppers at 373-1000.
