Report: Guilford 3rd in state for tourism revenue

GREENSBORO - Guilford County ranks third in the state for tourism revenue in 2007, according to figures released this week by the North Carolina Division of Tourism, Film and Sports Development.
Guilford received $1.083 billion from visitors in 2007, behind Mecklenburg County with $3.4 billion and Wake County, which had $1.4 billion in that year, according to a news release.
Tourism-related jobs employ more than 13,000 people in Guilford County, according to the state's figures.
