GREENSBORO - A man who robbed a convenience store may have also been the same person who robbed an auto parts store a short time earlier, police said this morning.

About 10 p.m. Saturday, the man entered the Citgo Mart at 2515 Freeman Mill Road and got a drink. He approached the counter and began to pay. When the register was open, he displayed a handgun and demanded money, according to Greensboro police.

He fled after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.

He was last seen driving toward Interstate 40.

He may have also robbed the Auto Zone at 4407 High Point Road a short time earlier, police said.

Police described him as black, 26 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall with a muscular build. He had shoulder-length dreadlocks and was wearing a white hat, white T-shirt with green, yellow and orange stripes and baggy blue jeans.

Police ask people with information to call Crimestoppers at 373-1000.
