Monday is bus sign-up deadline
GREENSBORO — Monday is the deadline for Guilford County parents to request school bus transportation to and from traditional public schools for the upcoming school year.
Students who enrolled in traditional schools and received transportation last year and will attend the same school this fall do not need to submit a request form unless the student has moved or has a different morning or afternoon transportation address.
Parents can return completed forms to the GCS Transportation Department at 131 Franklin Boulevard, Greensboro, 27401. Forms can be faxed to 370-8932.
Transportation forms are available at individual schools, from the school district's transportation department or online.
Parents must a request form to ensure a seat for their child or children on a school bus on the first day of school, which is Aug. 26.
The district will not add extra school bus stops until the 10th day of school, and parents will be responsible for driving their children to school in the meantime.
