High Point to hold meeting on Washington Drive District Plan

High Point to hold meeting on Washington Drive District Plan

Tuesday, July 15
( 10:34 am)

High Point will gather comments from the public from 6-8 p.m. July 22 about the final draft of the Washington Drive District plan.

As one of the top priorities identified by the Core City Plan and adopted by the city council last year, city officials, High Point public members and a consultant team have worked the past six months on a plan to revitalize Wasington Drive located between Kivett Drive, Centennial Street, Montlieu Avenue and College Drive. The plan will guide future growth and revitalize this important area of the core city and make it a vibrant, active and attractive location in the future.

Consultant firm The Walker Collaborative will present the plan Tuesday and the public is encouraged to attend and offer comments.

The meeting is 6-8 p.m. at Penn-Griffin School for the Arts' Buford Auditorium, 825 E. Washington Drive.

For more information, contact Andy Piper, the city's senior planner, at 883-3328. Copies of the proposed plan are available online at www.high-point.net/plan/
