Corrugated packaging maker to close Greensboro plant

GREENSBORO - A western Greensboro plant that makes corrugated cardboard products will close next week.
U.S. Corrugated, located at 7205 Cessna Drive, employs 75 workers. The company, based in Newark, N.J., said in a notice that the plant would close next Thursday. No reason was given.
The plant employs 34 production workers, 18 drivers, eight maintenance workers and 15 salaried workers. Workers will continue to receive their current salary and benefits through Sept. 7.
