Teachers to be honored at reception
GREENSBORO - The Guilford Education Alliance will host a reception for up to 700 new Guilford County Schools teachers on Sept. 4.
The reception will take place from 5-7 p.m. at the Embassy Suites, 204 Centreport Drive, in Greensboro. The celebration allows local businesses to welcome teachers to the county and talk with them about the goods and services the businesses offer. Teachers will receive gift bags with coupons and information about local businesses and resources for their classrooms.
Businesses interested in participating can contact the Guilford Education Alliance at 841-4332 or info@GuilfordEducationAlliance.org. Booth sponsorships are $250 for businesses, $150 for nonprofit organizations. Groups contributing to gift bags should deliver at least 500 items to the Guilford Education Alliance by August 31.
