For those familiar with Yoder's Country Market in Caswell County, there's good news. Yoder's is expanding and moving closer to the Triad. Well, at least as close as 90 County Home Road at the intersection of N.C. 86 and U.S. 158 in Yanceyville.
For those not familiar with Yoder's Country Market, you're in for a real treat at the new opening on Saturday.
Yoder's has added a bakery and a sandwich shop, featuring Amish meats and cheeses on homemade rolls, and an ice cream parlor.
In addition, Yoder's continues to offer a wide assortment of bulk cereals, beans, cookie and bread mixes, soup mixes, freshly ground flours and other pantry staples, including gluten-free, organic and sugar-free products.

New menu items
Smokey Bones (3302 High Point Road, Greensboro; 315-8755; www.smokeybones.com ) has upgraded the menu and added a few items including two signature steaks: Smokey Mountain Sirloin, marinated in bourbon barbecue sauce, or Garlic Lovers Sirloin, marinated in garlic and olive oil ($12.49-$15.49).
Smokey Bones signature ribs ($11.99-$19.99) can now be ordered with a choice of four different sauces and grilled steaks ($13.99-$20.49) are offered in four different flavor options as well.
There's also slow-smoked barbecue appetizers such as Pulled Pork Sliders ($5.79), Barbecue Shrimp Po' Boy ($8.99) and Pulled Pork Cuban Sandwich ($8.29).
Prix fixe meal
Bistro Sofia (616 Dolley Madison Road, Greensboro) will hold a Mediterranean Night on July 16.
The prix fixe meal is $25 and includes three courses and complimentary wine.
