GTCC and N.C. A&T said today they have agreed to offer students who haven't qualified for university admission a chance to strengthen their academic credentials.
The agreement is designed to help students gain four-year degrees at N.C. A&T, according to a news release.
Once a student in the program completes at least 30 hours of class credits at GTCC, he or she will be admitted to N.C. A&T. Students also will have the opportunity to earn a two-year degree at GTCC before transferring to the university.
"These are students who just aren't quite ready for enrolling in the university," Donald W. Cameron, president of GTCC, stated in the release. "We are trying to offer them an alternative. We will take the students A&T recommends to us."
Information about minimum course requirements for transfer students in the program is available at www.ncat.edu/~admit/transfer.html
