Library goes ‘buggy’ for reading

JAMESTOWN — The Jamestown Public Library is bugging out this summer. Kids are encouraged to "Catch the Reading Bug this Summer" with several fun, educational events that kicked off June 24.

The first event, "Going Buggy," featured Flaco and Ze Clownettes, a group of Florence Elementary students, teachers and friends who perform magic tricks and other interactive activities with the audience.

Other buggy events at the Jamestown Library this summer include:
• Weekly "Going Buggy" activities, 10 a.m. Tuesday
• Knitting Classes for kids
9 and older, 2 p.m. Mondays. The class is free, but parents must register the kids by calling 454-4815 or sending an e-mail to jamestownlibrarian@hotmail.com
• Teen and Parent Book Club. Call library for information.
• A five-week Teen Theater Workshop starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday. It will be taught by Sue and Dale Metz. To register, call 454-4815 or visit http://www.jamestownlibrary.info
