Alamance Regional Medical Center has expanded its facilities and services farther northeast.
On Sunday , officials from the hospital, the Alamance County Chamber of Commerce and the city of Mebane were on hand to cut the ribbon to open the Mebane Outpatient Center.
The 59,000-square-foot Mebane Outpatient Center is off Arrowhead Boulevard. It includes diagnostic imaging, urgent care, laboratory services, the Mebane Surgery Center and physician offices. The center also includes operating rooms, as well as pre-op and recovery areas; the latest in CT, ultrasound, mammography and X-ray equipment; and urgent care exam rooms.
The clinic opened to patients on Monday.
The center, a joint venture between Alamance Regional and area physicians, will open in June. It will provide outpatient surgery in the areas of ear, nose and throat; general and vascular surgery; ophthalmology; dental surgery; orthopedics; plastic surgery; podiatry; and urology.
