Guilford County's most wanted

GREENSBORO — The number can hit like a ton of bricks. The city has more than 12,000 outstanding criminal warrants divided into 1,826 felony and 10,505 misdemeanor charges all with ties to Greensboro.

Each day, police officers assigned to the departments Legal Support Division hit the streets, papers in hand.

They search. They ask around. By the end of the day, they hope to be able to scratch another name off their extensive lists.

Each paper tells a story. From someone skipping out on a taxi fare to someone charged with first-degree murder and everything in between a victim has been wronged and a suspect is wanted.

That suspect is out there, and odds are, somebody knows where.

Each Monday, the News & Record will feature some of Guilford County's Most Wanted to help local law enforcement agencies find some of their worst offenders.

This weeks list features Greensboro's big fish 10 suspects at the top of the wanted list by the police department.

All addresses are the last known place of occupancy.

James Maurice Barber Jr., 32 , of 602 E. 16th St., Winston-Salem, is wanted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and on charges of being a habitual felon.

Police say Barber is a suspect in the April 29, 2005, shooting of Cory Blair, 22, at the Command Post Night Club at 2206 Stamey St.

Barber is described as a black man, 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and has tattoos of the sun and moon on his upper arms. He also has a tattoo of a cross on his back and two clowns on his chest.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Laura Benitez Castellano, 28, of 1704 Marion St., is wanted on 25 counts of obtaining property by false pretense.

Police say Castellano is suspected of using the account of a deceased couple to obtain about $26,000 in property and services.

Castellano is described as a white woman, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. She has brown hair, green eyes and a tattoo on the upper part of one arm.

Christopher Lamont Dixon, 26, of 2102 Apt. D Spring Garden St., is wanted on charges of manufacturing a weapon of mass destruction, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of marijuana.

Police say Dixon was arrested on the above charges on Nov. 11 but failed to appear for a Jan. 22 court date.

Dixon is described as a black man, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 155 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of a dog on his left arm. He also has tattoos of the word MOB on his left wrist and a flower on his right arm.

Dixon also goes by the name Bloody Bash.

Police say Dixon is a member of the Bloods gang and is considered armed and dangerous.

Randy Melvin Farmer, 59, address unavailable, is wanted on 40 counts of forgery.

Police say Farmer forged 40 checks, amounting to $15,000, that belonged to his elderly mother.

Farmer is described as a white man, 6 feet tall, weighing 175 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes.

Pedro Alvarez Gaono Jr., 22, of 1607 16th St., is wanted on charges of fraud, driving while intoxicated, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, and assault on a female.

Police say Gaono was arrested at his residence June 21 on some of the above charges. He later failed to appear for his court date on Jan. 25.

Police list Gaono as a member of the gang MS-13 and say that he should be considered armed and dangerous. He is known to have connections to Texas and Michigan.

Gaono is described as a Hispanic man, 6 feet tall and weighing 175 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, with tattoos on both ears and arms, including one along the left forearm reading Mexican Posse.

Gaono also goes by the names Pedro Guitan and Pedro Alvarez.

Hassoumi Salou Hassoumiou, 34, of 1413 Elmer St., is wanted on charges of cocaine possession and failure to appear in court.

Police say Hassoumiou was arrested at 3838 West Ave. on Sept. 12 and charged with possession of cocaine. He later failed to appear for his court date in December.

Hassoumiou is described as a black man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and tattoos of small Xs on his face.

George Thomas Humphrey, 32, of 2104 Joe Louis Ave., is wanted on charges of identity theft and possession of a fictitious drivers license.

Police say Humphrey is a suspect in the identity theft of a person in Colonie, N.Y.

Humphrey is described as a black man, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 330 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and tattoos on both arms.

Romail Leach, 25, of Lumberton is wanted on four counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and first-degree burglary.

Police say Leach is a suspect in the March 27, 2005, home invasion robbery at 3820-F Overland Heights. He is one of three suspects that police believe entered the residence and robbed its occupants at gunpoint.

Two others have been charged.

Leach is described as a black man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and has tattoos on his chest.

Arthur Raymond Little, 38, of 717 Dorgan St., is wanted on charges of being a habitual felon, two counts each of assault on a government official and resisting arrest and various narcotics charges.

Police say Little was charged on Aug. 2, 2004, in Greensboro with possession of marijuana.

During that arrest, Little allegedly assaulted officers and was later charged with being a habitual felon. He also failed to appear at several court dates.

Little is described as a black man, 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and has tattoos on both upper arms. Little also goes by the names Jermaine Sealy, Andrew Riley, Slim Little and Damon Jermaine.

Donnie Ray Nunnally, 21, of 720 Rugby St., is wanted on charges of felony larceny and breaking and entering.

Police say Nunnally was charged on Feb. 13, 2007, in connection with a break-in at 2619 Bears Creek Road. He later failed to appear for a Jan. 14 court date.

Nunnally is described as a black man, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.

He has black hair and brown eyes. Police say he is a member of the gang TRG.

Police advise anyone who knows the whereabouts of a suspect to notify law enforcement, but not to try to apprehend the suspect.
