MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Quarterback Pat White threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more Saturday, and No. 5 West Virginia rolled up 599 yards in overpowering East Carolina 48-7. Coach Rich Rodriguez called it the "best overall performance we've had in several years."
The Mountaineers (4-0) handed East Carolina (1-3) its most lopsided loss in coach Skip Holtz's three seasons. ECU gained only 160 yards.
