The charges against the Greensboro officers

Officer Scott E. Sanders

• Charged with two counts of obstruction of justice and one count each of conspiracy to obstruct justice and accessing a government computer

• Suspended with pay from the department in October

• Accused of misleading an SBI agent in December 2003 to break into a Department of Housing and Urban Development computer assigned to a fellow police officer Sanders was investigating

• Accused of conspiring with Sgt. William "Tom" Fox

Sgt. William "Tom" Fox

• Charged with one count each of obstruction of justice and conspiracy to obstruct justice

• Suspended with pay from the department in October

• Allegedly, along with officer Scott E. Sanders, instructed officers from Greensboro and the Winston-Salem police to not share evidence or information with those officers, indicating the men were "dirty officers" and "couldn’t be trusted"

• Accused of conspiring with Sanders in June 2005 to interfere with a Greensboro police investigation
