The remnants of Hurricane Humberto have pounded the Triad this evening, prompting multiple tornado warnings, flooding emergency call centers and cancelling evening events.
Officials with the National Weather Service in Raleigh reported getting a call of two tornadoes this evening.
One hit the Clemmons area around 2:15 p.m. and a second hit just north of Lexington around 4:30 p.m.
Funnel clouds were reported in High Point, Jamestown and Stokesdale along with reports of wind damage in Forsyth County.
More rain and severe weather is expected throughout the Triad this evening as the system continues to move through.
Barrett Smith, a meteorologist for the national weather service said that there is another line of storms moving through Georgia and South Carolina that will bring more rain tonight.
Ron Campbell, an Emergency Management coordinator for Guilford County said dispatchers have not received any reports of damage or injuries, but said emergency lines have been flooded.
The only accidents he could confirm were due to vehicle crashes.
Duke Energy reported few power outages in the area.
All high school football games in Guilford and Forsyth counties scheduled for tonight have been postponed.
All other after school activities in Guilford County have also been canceled.
Rainfall amounts at Piedmont Triad International airport were reported as just below an eighth of an inch just after 9 p.m.
"With the sun to our south, the rain to our north and the front over us today, storms along (the front) can get enough up draft to get some rotation," said Darin Figurskey, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service.
"In an atmosphere like this, it's pretty easy. We need the rain, but we don't need the other stuff."
