RALEIGH — (AP) State agriculture officials on Friday adopted a rule that seeks to quash the use of raw milk by humans.
Starting in November, anyone selling unpasteurized milk for pets, which is legal, must add charcoal food coloring to the product and include a label stating "Not for Human Consumption."
While agriculture officials say raw milk can be bad for humans because it isn't pasteurized, supporters view it as a healthier choice.
