Man faces charges after chase

GREENSBORO — The Guilford County Sheriff's Office has identified the man who they believe fled from deputies in a car and then on foot Tuesday.
Deputies tried to pull over Herman Lemont Tucker, 45, for a license tag that didn't match his vehicle. The driver didn't stop for the deputies, but crashed into a telephone pole at Textile and Tucker streets. He then fled on foot.
Tucker has been charged with several traffic violations as well as felony speeding to elude. He has not been arrested as of early Thursday afternoon.
