A fourth person has been charged in the Aug. 19 robbery of Michael Wayne Neugent, the sheriff's office said today.
Caleb Eugene Wright, 19, of 4230 Hamburg Mill Road in Summerfield, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and common law robbery, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.
The warrant alleges Wright took approximately $250 worth of marijuana from Neugent after threatening him with a handgun.
He also hit the Neugent over the head with a handgun punched him and shot at him, the sheriff's office said.
Wright has a $250,000 secured bond and a court date of Sept. 10.
Taylor Moseley, 16, of 7840 N.C. 68, Justin Franklin Malloy, 17, of 501 Lauren Road and Michael Kelly Hodgin, 19, of 9023 Kelly Lee Court, all of Stokesdale, were also charged, according to the sheriff's office.
Neugent told deputies that he argued with a group of people about 12:30 a.m. near his home.
