Man cuts neck trying to scale fence

GREENSBORO - A man cut his neck trying to scale a fence, police said.

At 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 40-year-old man attempted to scale the fence of Carolina American Tours at 516 Federal Place, Greensboro police said.

As he did so, he fell across the wire located at the top of the fence, cutting his neck, police said.

Bleeding profusely, the man made his way to a parking lot at 1000 S. Eugene St. and collapsed, police said.

The man, whose name was not released by police, was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he was treated for a serious, but non-life threatening injury.
