'Unauthorized' art
Houston Patton, 22, a graffiti and tattoo artist, uses spray paint to create a piece of artwork at the Center for Visual Artists in downtown Greensboro on Tuesday. Patton is covering a 14-foot by 7-foot piece of canvas in which the phrase "Method One" will appear. He describes the piece as "nice and crazy." The work is one of many pieces featured in "Art: Unauthorized," an exhibition at the CVA running Sept. 10-Oct. 15. The opening reception will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 10.
