Westchester Country Day School senior boys basketball players and major Division I recruits Quincy Miller and Deuce Bello are scheduled to make official visits to Louisville on Saturday, and it could be a big weekend for the boys and the Cardinals.
“It never gets old, but they’ve been jetting around the country so much the last four months it just seems like another weekend,” Westchester boys basketball coach Pat Kahny said.
Miller is a 6-9, 195-pound power forward considered by numerous scouting services as perhaps the best high school player in the nation.
Bello stands 6-3, 175 pounds and is an explosive, four-star prospect. He is considered a top-10 wing and can play multiple positions.
The duo was also scheduled to make an official visit to Baylor this month, but have canceled the trip to Waco, according to scout.com. That could mean great news for the Cardinals, but Kahny cautioned about jumping to a conclusion about the players possibly committing to Louisville this weekend.
“I would not pay any attention to that,” Kahny said. “Anything is possible, but there is so much on (the Internet) that’s ill-informed and with no basis behind it.”
