The Chalkboard

Trouble at Kirkman Park

Looks like things haven't improved much at Kirkman Park Elementary. The school board could vote tonight to create a "school with in a school" there. The school is currently all Spanish immersion but my understanding is that the staff is proposing making that a program within the school.

Any parents with students at Kirkman Park want to weigh in on what can be done to bring these scores up?

*Thanks to Lekan for the edit.

Looks like a good recomendaion to me.
It even looks like a fact based honest presentation.
I dont remember seeing something like this in Griers regime!

Brian:

I support the proposal because it, among other things, gives the neighborhood back their school. Kids who have been bused off to other schools because their parents did not want to put them in the Spanish emergence program will be able to send their children to their neighborhood school next year. You may recall that this is one of the issues I promised to focus on.

Best regards,

Paul,

I am glad you have common sense. Just say "yes" to neighborhood schools. End busing now!
