House Health Committee: three unusual bills Thursday

The House Health Committee meets Thursday at noon. Offered with as little comment as possible, here are the three bills on its calendar for consideration:

HB 1122: NC Colon Hydrotherapy Licensure. It regulates the practice of shotting water up folks' backsides.

HB 1380 Medical Marijuana Act. Sponsored by Greensboro Rep. Earl Jones, it would make the posession and use of marijuana for medical purposes legal. No, as I read the bill, being hung over from not having any pot is not a medical condition that would qualify.

HB 1579 Increase Alcohol Taxes. As it was amended in the committee today, the bill would tripple the tax on beer as a way of discouraging young people from getting drunk on beer.

After spending the day in the rain.
One thing I learned, if you want to break up a conversation, asked one of the Raleigh Mafia about cutting pork.
They find very quick, they are late for a meeting!
I do not buy beer, if I did I buy it in Virginia. Like gas and everything else.
This may not last long, Kahne another liberal, has broke Virginia with his pork.
Stopping young people from drinking beer bullcrap.
Need more vote buying pork money!
Wonder how many jobs this will cost the state?
