Pet of the Week: Sammie
Sammie, a 7-year-old retriever/shepherd mix, has lived her entire life on a homeless compound in the Triad. Her owner, homeless himself, used Sammie as a way to gain sympathy and cash on the side of the road. Six months ago, Sammie was suffering from a debilitating skin rash and heartworm disease.
