Do you ever get overloaded by things? Every day you are bombarded by images coming at you over and over. And sometimes you just have to weed out too much information. So I bet you never noticed that there is a little box on the front page of this blog that says "Want to go?"
Scroll down there now. It's on the right. It is below my favorite sites and the bios of me and Margaret Wimmer. I'll wait. ... See? Anyway, there are little items on things to do in the area posted there.
Now, I'd like to admit here and now that I have not been as good as I would have liked at keeping it up to date. In fact, some of my colleagues have been great at forwarding me super information, and it just sits there, getting moldy in my inbox. (Sorry Susan! I really appreciate it! Don't stop sending it. I get to it eventually.)
And then on a day like today, I get super guilty and realize that you, my loyal readers, are getting gypped. And I want you to get the most for your money. (Make checks payable to Janet Brindle Reddick, please. It's not tax-deductible, but I'll write you a trip report).
But there REALLY are some good items there now. Like the 75th anniversary of the Blue Ridge Parkway coming up. And you can buy tickets for a railroad ride to see fall foliage to the mountains. Take a look!
