There are a lot of emotions involved in this very public issue. And while emotions can be a positive thing in many areas of life, I think it's something that we need to be aware of, that emotions can also lead to some horrific mistakes.

I read on-line that not only is this mosque near Ground Zero being opposed, but all across the country, any proposed building by Muslims is getting opposed. By the "Not In My Back Yard" crowd, apparently. This tells me that the emotions surrounding 9/11 are still strong and prone to lead us to a very dark place. A place where people decide to respond to Jihad with Crusade.

Sadly, too many of the opinion-givers in the country have made a lot of money by perpetuating and stirring up this desire for revenge. They will keep on pushing people to desire a crusade, ignoring the fact that a crusade would destroy much of the civilized world. Yeah, it's a big matter. It shouldn't be. But that's the choice we have made.
