Is it just me, or is the city's neighborhood walk program cursed?

Lindley Park Neighborhood Walk Postponed
City to resume Neighborhood Walks Program in the fall
GREENSBORO, NC (July 27, 2010) – The Lindley neighborhood walk scheduled for Thursday, July 29, at 5:30 p.m. has been postponed due to prevailing weather conditions. It will be rescheduled for the fall.
Between crummy weather and scheduling conflicts, this is the third out of five of these walks to be cancelled. Perhaps summer is a bad time for making people keep an appointment -- and for thunderstorms.
Better luck in the fall, guys.
