Walmart, Best Buy quit used video game business

Last year, hoping to tap into GameStop's lucrative used video game business, Walmart and Best Buy decided to test the waters.

Game over.

The companies are pulling the plug on the program.

Keep in mind, however, you can still find new games (as in unopened but released a while ago) at cheap prices.

I recently bought "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2" for the Xbox 360 for $15 at Walmart (yes, the Web site says $20, so that surprised me too.).

That's pretty good when you consider just-released games cost four times as much, or $60.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 was released in 2008 but it's still a blast to play.
