We got our tree last weekend, and the cats weren't quite sure what to make of it. I locked them upstairs while we pushed it through the door and set it up in the kitchen (we got it the day after the snowstorm last week, so it had to drip dry in our kitchen for a few days) Once I released them, the smelling began.

At first they didn't like it, but they have gotten use to it, and they barely touch it.
After a few days of drying, my boyfriend Bruce and I decorated the tree. Libby helped, while Julian sort of just laid on the floor, right in the middle of everything. But at his age, I just let him do what he wants.
Once we were done, I put the presents underneath, getting it all ready for this Friday. In the meantime, Libby has decided she wanted to make the tree her new hiding spot.

Luckily, we aren't getting a new cat for Christmas. I think four is enough.
Like the crazy person I am, I'll continue to take too many photos of my cats during the holidays. If you're like me, I'd like to see how your pets spend the holidays. I'm not just talking Christmas. Holiday parties or rocking on new year's, send them all to margaret.wimmer@news-record.com and I'll post the ones I get.
Have a good holiday from all of us here at the Pet Shop!!
