Throwing a snowball into your shopping plans

The weekend before Christmas is usually one of the busiest times of the year to shop. Sears is advertising a "Black Friday now!" sale starting Saturday at 7 a.m. with discounts including up to 70 percent off on jewelry.

At Belk, the first 250 customers at each store get a gift card worth $5 to $1,000 starting at 6 a.m. Saturday.

But with a foot of snow possibly blanketing the Triad by tomorrow, my guess is many of you are saying thanks, but no thanks.

Having said that, I'm curious about you hearty souls out there will say bah humbug to mother nature trying to mess with your shopping plans.

So what do you have in store this weekend? Will you be venturing out or staying put?

I got my Christmas shopping done in June, except for calendars which were done after Thanksgiving on the computer and already in my hand. As long as my family can still make it in, I can sit back, relax, and watch the snow. :)

my plan WAS to go shopping tomorrow... we'll just have to see what it looks like when I wake up tomorrow. Safely getting out of my neighborhood is my biggest concern, I've yet to see it plowed after a storm, but the big streets are usually in good condition. As for the xmas crazies in the parking lots.... they are bad enough without snow, so I'll be driving REAL slow!

I was fortunate to get all of my shopping done last weekend when I was up in Toronto (now it is just the challenge of trying to get home at the moment)
