Take your dogs for a swim this weekend
The Maynard Aquatic Center in Burlington and the Daves Mtn. Tennis and Swim Club in Asheboro both are offering opportunites for your pooches to take a dip in the pool this weekend.
The Maynard Aquatic Center, 402 Overbrook Drive, Burlington, will host Dogsplash from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5 per dog and humans are free. The event is a fundraiser for the Humane Society of Alamance County.
Dogs must have current proof of rabies vaccination to swim. Humans are responsible for their dog’s behavior. Aggressive dogs or dogs in heat should not attend.

The Daves Mtn. Tennis and Swim Club, 1988 Berkley Lane, Asheboro, will hold Pooches in the Pool from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 per person, includes sandwich, chips and a drink. Canines are free.
A doggie swimsuit contest will be held at 5 p.m.
All proceeds benefit Ruff Love Rescue.
