Labor Day deals at the grocery store
Brews, steaks, shrimp, ice cream and corn are some of the items on sale this week in time for your Labor Day weekend backyard barbecue.
Deals expire Tuesday except Aldi, which expire Monday.
* Carolina medium shrimp are $3.49 a pound at Lowes Foods, which is doubling manufacturers' coupons (limit 20).
* Boneless chicken breast fillets or tenders are $1.67 a pound at Food Lion.
* Eight ears of sweet corn for $2 at Harris Teeter, which also doubles manufacturers' coupons (limit 20).
* Whole boneless ribeye steaks are $4.98 a pound at Compare Foods.
* Pineapples are 99 cents each at Aldi.
* 24-packs of Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Lite and Yuengling are $11.77 at Harris Teeter.
* Get five 12-packs of Pepsi for $12 at Lowes Foods (limit 10).
* Snow crab clusters are $2.99 a pound at Harris Teeter (with $10 additional purchase, limit 10 pounds).
* White seedless grapes are 99 cents a pound at Lowes Foods.
* Buy one 48-ounce Breyers Ice Cream, get one free at Food Lion.
* B-Bar beef hot dogs are $1.99 at Aldi.
