Ashkinazy on Oak Ridge

Quote from Alan Ashkinazy that didn't make it in Saturday's story:

“You can bring in all the horses you want, but it’s just as important to have the facilities in place for them. They’re going to have a powerhouse over there in basketball, no question about it. I have no idea what this story is about but is this name somehow connected to the Ashkinazy Jewish people? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashkenazi_Jews (Since Ashkinazy is a translation of Hebrew there are various spellings, none of which are necessarily more correct than others).
Just curious.
