One day left for City Council
Allen Johnson takes a quick, but serious look at the candidates who have filed to run for Greensboro City Council so far. He should. I'll take the off-kilter one. We have a candidate who is an inca of a gang, whatever that is. A few who answer the question, "Have you ever been arrested?" in the positive. Some who didn't vote the last time around. One who has run unsuccessfully for many elective seats over the years. Most list no consultants, although a few list Bill Burckley.
Personally, I'm looking forward to a lively, fun campaign.
Update: Still, President Obama mentioned the city's proud heritage in his speech to the NAACP national convention last night.
