Top free iPhone app a ball to play
Just downloaded iPhone's number one free app - Wild West Pinball (used to cost a buck).
Me like.
Gameplay is a snap. You press down on the screen to launch the ball, then hit it with the left and right flippers by pressing down along the sides of the screen.
The game allows the player to move the iPhone to simulate "tilting" the table.
My take? I wouldn't say it totally engrosses me, which is how one reviewer described it.
But to be fair, I can't get totally engrossed playing a video game on a tiny 4.5-inch tall, 2.5-inch wide screen, no matter how good it is.
Unfortunately my Xbox 360 and 42-inch flatscreen HDTV aren't very portable. Curses! But this is a pretty cool game to tie you over until you can get back to playing the real stuff at home.
